Step 6: Engine, Transmission and Driveshaft

Before instaling the engine and transmission assembly into the car, you will need the insert the driveshaft into the tunnel and attach at the rear differential.  Gently lower the assembly into the car and insert the drive shaft into the transmission as it goes in.
With the engine and transmission in place.  Install the 2 rubber puck engine mounts to the stock Miata engine mounts.  Lower the engine into positon with the nuts just hand tight.  Insert the two transmission bolts and attach the nuts.  Release all the weight off the engine and transmission, and tighten all the bolts.  The assembly is now in place.
