Track tires & pressures
Anyone care to share their speed secrets for tires and pressures?
My newly acquired SS came with
NITTO NT01 225/45ZR/15 all around on S-10 wheels.
Also GY slicks (D2527) R475 22.0x9.0x14 front and D4192 R430 22.5x11.0x13 on Diamond Wheels rear.
When I ran a Formula Mazda (400# lighter) on similar GY slicks I typically did 16psi cold and ended with 20 hot.
What's your hot set up for a SS?

Re: Track tires & pressures
Guidance I've received in the past for my car has been to use 1 psi per 100 lb of weight, so 1600 lb car gets 16 psi. The Nittos will have the wear indicators that you can read, so that's good. My R888's have responded to the 1psi/100 lb ratio pretty well. Not sure on the slicks though...

Hoosier R7 225/15 front 275/15 rear 21psi in hot FL weather 22 in winter 3 degrees negative camber in front 1/2 degree in rear full positive caster a tiny bit of tow in. I tried the expensive Avon's and found them not as good as the hoosiers
